Business Meetings Are Taking Over My Life

November 13th, 2011

It seems like I am away at business meetings more than I am at home. At first I was excited about it, seeing different cities and staying at fancy hotels, but then it became more of a hassle than anything else. I remember my first business meeting in New York. I had never been to Manhattan and thought it would be fabulous.

I stayed in the Embassy Suites downtown and was able to walk to Ground Zero. I shopped in just about every part of the city and dined in some great restaurants. I thought to myself, I can do this – easy! Well, my next business trip was to North Dakota and it was the winter. My flights were delayed, my hotel was anything but a 2 star at best, and food was adequate. From there it was all down hill…except for when I got invited to a convention or conference. Conference venues are great because they wine and dine you. I actually look forward to them now as it breaks up the monotony.

Grandma Wears Adult Nappies to Remain Active

September 28th, 2011

My grandmother had always been very social, always going somewhere, so I was surprised when my friend’s grandmother asked me if my grandma was ill. Since I had not heard anything was wrong, I told her friend it must be timing, they just kept missing each other. I did, however decide to stop in on grandma on the way home.

My grandmother informed me she had been staying home because of incontinence; she was embarrassed. We sat and talked about it and I took her to the store to buy some adult nappies. At first, she was a bit reluctant to try them, so we talked a bit more about how they would enable her to remain socially active without worrying she may wet herself. She wore them to a luncheon the next day; they were a success. She is back to being a social butterfly.

The importance of literacy

September 20th, 2011

Primary school is the beginning of the child’s educations. It is really important that parents pay attention to this fact and sent their child to a good primary school. The early years of the child’s educations will definitely have major impact on his/her later educational achievements. The teachers in primary schools should pay attention to the students’ literacy and especially literacy KS2 . Students of the primary schools are young and they do not understand the value of education and sometimes they do pay attention to the classes. New teaching methods should be considered for this kind of education. Giving rewards to students who do their homework well will encourage students and there will be a competition among them. Literacy in primary schools should be number one priority for the teachers.

I’d Do Anything to Save My Dad

September 10th, 2011

Three years ago, my dad was diagnosed with cancer. My whole family was devastated because at first we didn’t know how severe it was, nor did we know how we were going to afford the medical bills. We all agreed that we were willing to do whatever it took to save my dad’s life, whether it be to donate our skin for grafts or work a second job to pay the overwhelming bills. I, of course, decided I would take another job in order to contribute. After looking around, I received an intriguing offer from a friend: become a phone sex operator.

Initially, I resisted. “That’s beneath me,” I thought. But as the bills piled up, I finally consented. Looking back it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not only did I make enough money to help pay for my dad’s medical bills, but I enjoyed it too!

Drained From Debt

September 1st, 2011

Lucinda received her bill from her last semester of medical school. “It can’t be right,” she thought. Overwhelmed, she wasn’t sure how she was going to even begin to pay down her debt. Her parents had already put her through private school and almost took out another mortgage because of that. That’s when she saw it -  Manchester escorts. The description said it would be discreet and clients could pay at times more than $1,000. She knew that she shouldn’t even think about doing it. What would her parents think? What would her reputation stand for if anyone found out? Especially becoming a doctor. Nobody could know. Nobody but nobody. She has to think quick. The bills and loans were piling up. The first night alone came along. She met ‘Callum’. He seemed okay. To her disbelief, he just wanted to talk. Turns out he paid her to just talk.

A long day

August 15th, 2011

I had been in grueling meetings all day at work. I was stressed out to the max. There was hardly any time during the entire day to just relax for a minute. After work, I was about to head home to my family. There, we were going to be hosting a birthday party for our fourteen year old daughter. There would be no time to relax and get refreshed this entire day. I decided to treat myself to a massage. I stopped in at a chinese massage London to try it out. I was treated like royalty. I was quickly finding myself relaxing and forgetting about all the stresses that the day had held. Before I knew it, I found myself drifting off to sleep. After my massage, I was on my way home, I was so refreshed, I could have tackled anything that came my way.

You can learn a lot about yourself

August 11th, 2011

It is sad to say, but it is also true that you can learn a lot about yourself through an extra marital affair. I know that I personally did when I had an affair with a London mistress . At first I just blamed it all on human nature, but then I started to realize that I had to take at least some of the blame for what I had done. It is just not fair to blame things on other people all the time. I only wish that I had realized this sooner.

It is not that there is anything illegal about having an affair, but there seems to be some kind of inner moral objection to the whole thing. If you do this behind someone’s back, then you certainly feel that you have betrayed them. It is not something that I ever want to feel again, but there is always the possibility that I could find myself in this situation once more.

Civil Weddings

August 5th, 2011

Perhaps this is a subject that should not be thrown around in a gay chat room, but are we done with this topic now? Can we now get to the real business of what is really needful in the gay community, such as equity in hiring, protection from hate crimes and public ridicule? Where is the first state that is really going to deal with anyone harming someone based on their sexual preference? A gay or lesbian civil wedding is really out of the question when all we have to worry about is whether or not the bride wore white or if the groom came in drag. Someone can now answer the real questions that bother and harass this community.

Romance and history at Newcastle’s Bessie Surtees House

July 12th, 2011

Aubone Surtees’s pretty young daughter Bessie loved John Scott but her father was having none of it. Bessie’s family was wealthy, and John was a poor coal merchant’s son. One night in 1772 John spirited her away out a first floor window to nearby Scotland, where they were married. All came right in the end as John became a lawyer and eventually Lord Chancellor of England under the title Lord Eldon.

All has come right with the house as well. Along with a neighboring structure it has been restored. In addition to the regional headquarters of the preservation organization English heritage they hold three rooms that are open to the public. They hold an exhibition that depicts the history of the buildings and the neighborhood, including many specifically Jacobean pieces. Once you have chosen which of the delightful hotels in Newcastle to stay at, make sure you start planning your itinery.
